Veterans Conservation Corps
The VCC provides opportunities for veterans to connect with nature in their own way while restoring Washington’s natural resources. Opportunities include Stream restoration & monitoring, re-vegetation of native plants, restoration of watersheds, forests, prairies or native grasslands, office or clerical duties, and environmental or community education.
The mission of Growing Veterans is to empower veterans to cultivate purpose and belonging by growing food, community and each other. This is done through community engagement, agricultural training and workshops, and paid internships through VCC and VA Work Study. There are 2 farms, one in Lynden, WA and the other in Greenbank, WA.
The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs is a one stop source for all VA related information, as well as programs for veterans such as Apprenticeships, Internships through Veterans Conservation Corps, Links to other VSO's, and assistance with any VA related questions.
